Spring 2027 Move-In Dates

How Move-In Day Works
Students go directly to their residence hall to check in with their RAs. There they receive a key and room access. Students can sign up for a move-in timeslot in the ResLife Portal, so it is worth confirming that time before the family leaves for campus. Liberty also posts Move-In Traffic Maps as PDFs on its Move-In/Move-Out page. Review the map before arrival and keep your student's hall information close at hand.
Fall move-in is especially active. Liberty News reported on August 21, 2026 that 4,800 new residential undergraduate students were coming to campus that fall, with move-in and Welcome Week serving as their introduction to Liberty. Arriving Early
Students who need to arrive before the residence halls open must submit an Early Arrival Request in the Res Life Portal. The early-arrival fee is $20 per day and covers the room only. Dining is not included. Early arrivals check in at the Office of Residence Life, on the ground level of Commons 2, during regular business hours. Use Liberty's process rather than assuming a student can enter a hall before the listed opening time.
